We identified 13 recurring tour families and profiled 14 programs. WPT Main and Prime belong to one family. This is a verified working inventory, not a complete census of organizations or tournaments. A tour family is a brand grouping, not an audited corporate ownership count.
A tour stop is one scheduled visit, sometimes across linked rooms. A festival can contain many distinct tournaments; starting flights and restarts do not become separate tournaments.
The map counts each family once per state, using dated US events within September 28, 2025-September 28, 2027, checked on September 28, 2026. This includes the prior twelve months and announcements for the following twelve months. It does not measure total events, attendance or market size. Gray states mean evidence was not captured here.
A broader directory mixes about 40 tour, venue and subseries labels. Directory used for discovery. Map geometry: US Atlas, based on US Census boundaries.
Card Player Poker Tour: Card Player states that its final event was held in 2025; exclude it from the active inventory. Card Player Poker Tour retrospective. Heartland Poker Tour: no current schedule verified; historical pages are not evidence of current operation.
PokerStars Open / NAPT: Philadelphia March 16-23, 2026 and its $1,100 main are verified, but an ongoing US multi-stop NAPT calendar was not established. Official Philadelphia event.
A small schedule sample makes the mix easier to see. The broader tour research explains frequency and championship choices.
Lower-priced side events sit alongside the headline tournaments.
Median $400 / range $100-$3,300. Advertised per-player package prices; see optional add-on notes in the sample.
Game is a separate dimension from bounty or other event format.
Omaha variants include the structures named in each schedule. Mixed events contain more than one game. Unknown means the game was not explicit in the evidence collected.
Standard tournaments are the baseline, with several ways to add variety.
One primary format per tournament. Standard events can still have seating variations or side bonuses. “Other” includes tag-team, cash-target and bomb-pot events. Deepstack and seniors are not game categories.
Advertised audience is counted separately from game and payout format.
“Open” means no audience restriction was listed in the schedule. Venue age and membership rules still apply; admission requirements were not audited.
This is a purposive sample of four published 2026 festival schedules in Nevada, Indiana, Florida and Mississippi. It was chosen to cover national and regional formats with accessible official schedules. Each tournament has equal weight; a large field does not count more than a small field. It is not a random or nationally representative sample.
Additional starting flights and restarts are collapsed into their tournament; satellites are excluded. Distinct paid festival events remain, including the Indiana cash-target Bankroll Builder. WSOP coverage is the eighteen ring events. Ordinary venue dailies outside these festival schedules are outside the sample. Counts describe advertised schedules, not certified completion or attendance.
Prices are advertised per-player entry amounts, including published fees. Team totals are divided by team size. Where the advertised package includes an optional staff chip add-on, the chart retains that package price and the row explains it. Re-entries, travel and extra purchases are not included. Percentages are rounded and may total 99% or 101%.

Many national stops overlap across different markets. A host-level calendar shows the frequency offered to an individual audience; the national calendar shows the operator’s full reach.
Trailblazer schedules five Texas stops with a finale. Community programs can be much more frequent. The research includes destination circuits, regional series and frequent local programs.
An open finale, a points award, a winners-only invitational and a funded freeroll serve different purposes and create different costs.
| Program | Published basis | Correct interpretation | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| WSOP Circuit | 17 US festivals / Jan-May initial plan | 12-day festival windows; a nationwide network | Official season announcement |
| RunGood | 19 US stops / announced Aug-Dec plan | Overlapping festivals across multiple markets | Official fall announcement |
| MSPT | 14 main windows / Jan-May | 12 hosts; four-day main windows, not full festivals | Official past main events |
| Trailblazer | 5 stops / Aug 2026-Feb 2027 | One state, irregular gaps and a finale | Official season schedule |
| 701 | 46 tournaments / prior Season 6 | Community program; tournaments are not distinct venue visits | Official season recap |
These windows differ. They are examples of operating models, not an annual frequency ranking. RunGood is an announced plan; MSPT counts main-tournament windows, not complete festivals.
WSOP Circuit uses ring-winner packages; RunGood has ring-winner invitationals; Trailblazer advertises stop and season prizes; 701 uses points to qualify for a championship freeroll.
WSOP winner pathway; RunGood invitationals; Trailblazer points; 701 qualification rules. The recommendations below are planning judgments. The tour research offers options; DSPT’s actual demand, economics and workload should determine the commitment.
Repeat Sarasota, then test one room with a distinct audience and a capable operating partner.
Assess player demand, venue availability, promotion lead time and organizer capacity when setting the calendar.
Evaluate finale and recognition options against participation goals, clear qualification rules and available funding.
The opener used a $250 buy-in, 30,000 chips, no-limit hold'em and 25-minute levels. Revenue modeling requires DSPT's retained share and cost allocation; organizer workload also needs to be measured. Official opener result; DSPT website.
DirtyStack Poker Tour (DSPT, dsptour.com) is a related but separate brand and informal entity. DirtyStack Poker covers the player-facing website and app. Each tour event may use RoomDirector, DirtyStack, both or neither.
Unique players, repeat intent, measured organizer hours, DSPT's retained revenue, venue cost-sharing and capacity. Recommendations below are conditional on those operating facts.
A sustainable calendar depends on the audience, the host rooms and the resources required to deliver each event. Evaluate these factors together as results become available.
| Factor | Evidence to assess | Planning implication |
|---|---|---|
| Player demand | Unique players, return visits, travel origins, date preferences and competing events. | Set spacing and locations around the audience each room can reach. Entries alone do not establish the size of that audience. |
| Venue capacity and availability | Available dates, tables, dealers, registration support and the room's existing calendar. | Match event size and duration to a host's confirmed operating capacity. |
| Promotion lead time | Time needed to publish details, coordinate host promotion and reach potential players. | Allow enough preparation for the intended field and travel radius, with clear responsibilities for each campaign. |
| Event economics | Retained contribution, venue splits, staffing, marketing, travel, guarantees and funded season rewards. | Assess expected contribution and downside exposure for each event and for the calendar as a whole. |
| Organizer capacity | Total preparation, event-day and follow-up hours, including overlap between productions. | Commit dates that the available team can deliver consistently, with time to review results and improve the next event. |
Review the calendar as these measures accumulate. Geographic reach, event frequency and season rewards each require an operating case supported by the same demand, capacity and financial evidence.
There are already several distinct Florida poker markets and multiple national-tour hosts. The practical first expansion is a room with its own reachable audience and a strong operating partner. Crossing a state line is not itself evidence of tour growth.
| Market / room | Role in the comparison | Observed programming | Resources |
|---|---|---|---|
| One Eyed Jacks / Sarasota | Existing host; daily and seasonal program | Fall Classic November 9-22; house POY. Use this room to measure DSPT repeat demand. | Fall Classic / POY |
| Tampa / St. Petersburg | Nearby Gulf Coast markets | Tampa Pinktober Oct 6-18: $1,200 championship. Derby advertises $250 and 30K-chip events too. DSPT needs more than stack size to stand out. | Tampa program / Derby calendar |
| Daytona / Orange City | Linked two-room model | Monthly leaderboard plus an early-2027 championship seat; June Multi-Room Mayhem combined sixteen flights across two rooms. | Leaderboard rules / Multi-room event |
| bestbet / Northeast Florida | House events plus visiting brands | 2026 archive includes PokerAtlas, WPT and house series. Current host schedule shows RunGood Oct 21-Nov 1; earlier tour announcement starts Oct 22. | Results archive / Host RunGood schedule |
| Hollywood / South Florida | Destination festival model | Seasonal festivals; RRPO Nov 17-Dec 2 includes $3,500 championship, with lower-priced side events. | Upcoming festivals / RRPO schedule |
| Palm Beach / Pompano | Recurring room events and national stops | PBKC October Monster: $300, five flights, $100K guarantee. Pompano hosts WSOP Circuit Oct 1-12. | PBKC event / WSOP calendar |
This sequence is a recommendation, not an observed industry standard. If a compelling out-of-state host covers the additional burden, it can justify an earlier exception.
OEJ Fall Classic ends Nov 22. Hollywood RRPO ends Dec 2. Neither advertised series overlaps Dec 12.
DSPT returns to OEJ under the current plan. Wynn's WPT Prime runs Dec 5-12 and Super Gold Million Dec 10-14; the World Championship begins Dec 13. Potential competition for traveling players, with local impact unknown.
Hollywood lists Fun in the Sun after Christmas. Other Florida December calendars were incomplete in this review.
The review is a dated snapshot, not a live conflict monitor. Recheck room calendars before announcing or committing spend. Published schedules cannot establish that the date is conflict-free or quantify how many Sarasota players will travel.
Enter your own annual event count for each scenario you want to compare. Leave the event count blank to leave a scenario unused. Include every event you intend to produce in that count, including a finale if applicable.
Use DSPT's retained contribution per entry after variable costs, not the buy-in or prize pool. Inputs stay in this page and are not transmitted. They reset when the page reloads; print to preserve a scenario.
These assumptions apply to every scenario. Paid staffing belongs in cash costs. Enter total unpaid person-hours across all organizers. The extra awards / finale budget covers only costs beyond those already included in the per-stop figures; enter zero if none.
| Scenario | Annual stops | Entries per stop | Fixed cash cost per stop ($) | Organizing hours per stop |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | ||||
| B | ||||
| C |
The 75-entry seed comes from the opener and is not a forecast. Change attendance, costs and hours separately for each scenario. Results use per-stop averages across the events in that scenario, plus any extra season budget entered above.
The illustrative assumptions use invented costs and the same per-stop values for each scenario. Your event counts stay as entered; the example does not supply or recommend a schedule.
Enter an annual event count and the required assumptions to calculate a scenario.
| Scenario | Total stops | Annual entries | Annual cash contribution | Organizer hours | After valuing time | Break-even entries / stop under fixed-cost assumptions |
|---|
Annual cash contribution = stops × (entries per stop × retained contribution per entry + sponsor contribution per stop - fixed cash cost per stop) - annual shared overhead - extra season awards / finale budget.
Organizer hours = stops × organizing hours per stop + shared annual hours. Time-adjusted result = annual cash contribution - organizer hours × value per hour. Break-even entries round up the annual time-adjusted costs net of sponsorship, divided by stops and retained contribution per entry.
This is a planning model before taxes and financing, not an audited profit forecast. It cannot predict player demand, guarantee exposure or sponsorship. Include expected guarantee shortfall in costs when applicable. A guarantee shortfall changes with attendance, so the linear break-even is conditional on the entered costs, not a modeled guarantee threshold. No championship fundraising or revenue is assumed beyond the entered fields.
Different tours use different mechanisms: qualification by wins, points-based eligibility, open buy-in season finales, and rewards that lead to another tour. These are separate design choices, not a single standard championship formula. WSOP winner pathway; RunGood invitationals; Trailblazer points; 701 qualification rules.
| DSPT option | Benefit and cost | Selection criteria |
|---|---|---|
| Open season finale + points awards | New players can join; repeat players get recognition. Added awards can be limited to money or prizes already secured. | Suitable when broad access and recognition are the priorities. Include the finale in the calendar and budget its incremental awards explicitly. |
| Earned seats or a capped invitational | Gives earlier events a tangible reward, but needs clear seat funding, eligibility, transfer and tie rules. | Define costs, field size and funding before publishing the qualification rules. |
| Fully funded championship freeroll | Strong retention incentive, with a real funding obligation and potential administrative burden. | Use when contracted sponsorship or demonstrated event contribution can fund the full commitment. |
Points design criteria: publish one scoring method and define how participation, finishing position and counted results contribute to season standings. Test the method against plausible attendance and results patterns to assess the effect on players with different availability. Set qualification thresholds and rewards in line with the intended field and secured funding.
Keep participation requirements, re-entry treatment, ties, cancellations and prize funding explicit. Assess whether the scoring method rewards the mix of participation and performance the season is intended to recognize.
These are positioning hypotheses, not claims that competitors lack them. DSPT should validate them with player feedback and actual attendance.
| Measure | Why it changes the decision |
|---|---|
| Unique players, entries and re-entries | Separates audience growth from additional spending by the same players. |
| Returning players and first-time players | Shows whether the experience retains people and whether each host adds reach. Use comparable cohorts rather than only percentages of the field. |
| Cash contribution and unpaid hours | Tests whether the event schedule is sustainable after venue splits, marketing, travel, staffing and organizer time. |
| Origin, travel tolerance and date preference | Tests how far the tour can move without depending on guesswork about willingness to travel. |
| Player and room feedback | Identifies friction in duration, structure, registration, communication and host workload. |
Operating criteria: assess schedule changes against measured player demand, confirmed venue support, available organizer capacity and fully costed contribution targets. Set those targets explicitly and review them using comparable event results.
A consistent brand does not require identical buy-ins or festival length at every room. Standardize the player promise and core reporting, then adapt the schedule to local demand.
A particularly useful example of community, recognition and accessible festival entry points. Borrow the season story and player care; its simultaneous national productions are a different staffing problem from DSPT.
A regional event can connect to a larger aspirational event without requiring every stop to be large. Historical results are evidence of possibilities, not a forecast for a new brand.
Trailblazer links five scheduled stops through a finale and leaderboard. Consider how season rewards connect events, and evaluate how entry, on-time and finishing points shape participation.
A regional identity can connect multiple price points and destination festivals. Match each program to its host market and distinguish prize guarantees, estimated pools and final results.
Consistent structures and tangible winner rewards can connect events across rooms. Host-level calendars provide useful evidence about the frequency and experience offered in an individual market.
The same nominal buy-in can produce very different fields. Study each host market and distinguish headline success from typical turnout. Repeated visits to established rooms provide a useful model for evaluating local demand over time.
Study presentation, hospitality and enduring winner recognition. Its premium prices, distribution and resort partners make it a weak direct operating benchmark for a $250 launch event.
Clear product tiers can widen access without changing the brand promise. DSPT should first prove one repeatable core product before adding multiple headline tiers.
Special formats and partner communities may add value within a regional footprint. Use player feedback and repeat participation to evaluate the format.
Use regional leaderboards and selective destination rewards to connect communities. Its charitable/local venue arrangements are context, not a Florida operating template.
Frequent local play and a funded finale can form a connected season. Evaluate the staffing, funding and venue arrangements behind that model; its charitable context differs from DSPT's.
Compact local events and traveling festivals have different production requirements. Compare event duration, host support and organizer workload when evaluating calendar models.
A clear season story and qualification rules are useful design references. Buy-ins and operating scale are poor DSPT benchmarks; do not copy a prior season's championship funding.
Research checked September 28, 2026. Official tour and venue pages are the primary evidence; the directory is used only to illustrate the counting problem. Historical results are labeled, announced schedules are not treated as completed events, and price examples are not estimates of average buy-in.
“Active” here means a recurring program with verified US activity within the previous twelve months or a dated upcoming US event. This selection does not claim exhaustive coverage of charity circuits, leagues, invitation-only events or every room's series. PGT is included as a championship-design reference despite its very different market.
These links lead to the operators' own event photographs, results and branding. They are reference resources; external photographs are not republished inside this report.
Claim-specific links also appear with the relevant profile or finding. Websites change; consult the current event structure before acting on a date or price.
Evidence limits: public schedules do not disclose operator profitability, contracts or staffing. Entry totals often include re-entries. Published guarantees, estimated pools and realized pools are not interchangeable. No organizer or venue was contacted for this review.
