TableMaster / Product
Today DirtyStack shows 5 regions, all in Florida. This plan takes regions to all 50 states and DC, puts every US poker room in a region without anyone picking it, and changes the four places that use regions.
The short version. 71 regions, each inside one state. Florida keeps its 5. Each US room is placed in the nearest region of its own state, automatically, and stays there. Up to 456 more rooms that PokerAtlas confirms go live one state at a time, Nevada first, each one checked first. Each state's tournaments go live with its rooms.
Where it stands on 21 October. The database change (TM-813) went live on 21 October. Players see no change: the 66 new regions are hidden. Next come the admin app and the website, then Nevada.
Measured on 21 October 2026.
| Step | Issue | State |
|---|---|---|
| Plan, screens and tracked issues | TM-812 | Done 16 September |
| Rooms first, tournaments later (D-1) | TM-812 | Replaced 21 October: tournaments come with each state |
| One state at a time, Nevada first | TM-812 | Decided 21 October |
| The region list | TM-813 | Approved 17 September: 71 regions |
| The database change | TM-813 | Done 21 October. The 66 new regions are hidden. |
| Admin app | TM-814 | Waiting After the database change |
| Website | TM-815 | Waiting After the database change. The "Florida-only" line was replaced on 1 October. |
| App | TM-816 | Waiting In the next app release, 1.30.0. Nevada does not wait for it. |
| New rooms | TM-817 | Waiting One state at a time, Nevada first |
| Tournaments | TM-818 | Waiting With each state, Nevada first |
| ID | Step | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| N1 | Apply the database change (TM-813) | Done on 21 October. The states, the rules and the 71 regions are in. The 66 new regions are hidden. |
| N2 | Clean the national list (first step of TM-817) | Merge the split venues and mark the rows that are not rooms. The list is separate from the live rooms, so this can run beside N1. |
| N3 | Admin app (TM-814) and website (TM-815) | Side by side, after N1. |
| N4 | App (TM-816) | In the next app release, 1.30.0. Nevada does not wait for it. |
| N5 | Add the rooms (TM-817) | One state at a time: hidden first, checked, then shown. |
| N6 | Tournaments (TM-818) | With each state, as its rooms are shown. |
| N7 | Nevada | Add its 33 rooms hidden and check them. Put them on the nightly job's list, check that the app and website stay fast and that "today" is right for Las Vegas, which is 3 hours behind Eastern. Then show the rooms and their tournaments. |
| N8 | California, then Texas, then the rest | The same steps, one state or one group at a time. |
| ID | Decision | Needed before |
|---|---|---|
| D-2 | How often rooms that are still hidden refresh their Google details. | Nevada's rooms are added (N7) |
| D-3 | Whether to wait for players to update the app before the new regions are shown. Nevada adds 2 regions to the 5, and the released app's single list reads fine with 7. | A large group of states (N8) |
| D-4 | Whether the two Monterey-area rooms stay in Bay Area, Bay Area gets a new name, or Monterey gets its own region. | California is shown (N8) |
| ID | Question | Answer |
|---|---|---|
| U-1 | Do the new rooms' tournaments go live too? | Yes, with each state. Changed on 21 October (D-1 below). |
| U-2 | Do all 1,273 rows on the national list become rooms? | No. Only the rooms PokerAtlas confirms, after each one is checked. The other 788 are search results nobody has confirmed. |
| U-3 | Can a region cross a state line, like Kansas City? | No. A region sits inside one state, so the website can group regions under states. "Near me" still finds rooms across a border. |
| U-4 | Do hidden rooms need a region? | Yes. Every room in the US gets one. Route 66 Poker, a traveling operator whose listed base is Sarasota, gets Tampa Bay & Gulf Coast. It is hidden from the website and the app, so players do not see its region. |
| U-5 | When can it ship? | The database change went live on 21 October. The states go live one at a time, Nevada first. |
| U-6 | Do rooms outside the US get a region? | No. Regions cover the 50 states and DC. Sosua Poker has none, and the region rules apply to US rooms only. |
Replaced on 21 October. Tournaments now go live with each state, one state at a time, so no state's events arrive all at once. The national job reads each state every night, and Nevada's data was read on 21 October.
Rooms nationwide now. Tournaments stay Florida-only. Each state's tournaments open later, once that state's data is collected daily and checked the way Florida's is.
Rooms and tournaments together. On 16 September that would have published 10,237 more upcoming events from 288 rooms in 36 states at once.
Why A: the data checks cover only what is published, which is Florida. On 16 September some states had last been collected on 1 September, so their schedules could be two weeks old.
The database and the national room list were measured again on 2 October 2026. The code survey is from 16 September; the admin app and the DirtyStack app were read again on 2 October.
| Item | Fact |
|---|---|
| Regions | 5, all in Florida. Each is a center point and a radius. |
| Rooms | 37: 36 in Florida and 1 in the Dominican Republic. Three have no region: Route 66 Poker, DirtyStack Poker and Sosua Poker. Four have no map location. |
| Accounts with a home region | 19 of 139. |
| Rules on rooms | Room names must be unique across the whole country. A US room's state must have 2 letters, and nothing checks that it is a real state. Deleting a region leaves its rooms without one. |
| New rooms | The admin app creates a room with no region. Until someone picks one, the room is in no region's list. |
| Test databases | The 5 Florida regions exist only as data, not in the database setup scripts, so a fresh test database has no regions. |
| Status | Rows | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmed | 484 | PokerAtlas lists the room. 28 are in Florida, where the rooms are already live. 456 are in 40 other states. 210 have no map location yet, and none has a city filled in. |
| Unverified | 788 | A Google search result only. Google does not call 229 of them a casino, and a sample of 25 held an arcade, party planners, a sportsbook, a keno parlor and an office. |
| Delisted | 1 | Gone from PokerAtlas. |
Confirmed rooms by state: Texas 86, California 61, Washington 38, Nevada 33, Florida 28, Montana 26, Michigan 25, Oregon 21, and 33 more states with 1 to 11 each.
"Confirmed" does not always mean "a room to list". In Illinois, only 6 of the 11 confirmed rows are a casino whose address matches its PokerAtlas page. The other 5 are charity game operators, a poker series, or rows where the Google address and the PokerAtlas page point to different places. So 456 is the most rooms that can go live, and every row gets checked first.
The rule: a room goes in the nearest region of its own state, measured to the region's center. On the 31 Florida rooms that have a map location and a region, the rule picks the region that was chosen by hand for all 31. On the national list, all 274 confirmed rooms that have a map location land in exactly one of the 71 regions. Both checks were run again on 2 October.
| App | What uses regions today | Issue |
|---|---|---|
| Database | The regions table, each room's region, each player's home region, the public tournament list. | TM-813 |
| Admin app | The region field in the room page's Address section: a flat list of the 5 regions, plus "No region assigned". | TM-814 |
| DirtyStack website | The header region switcher, the regions page, the region pages, the home page when no region is known, and a fixed list of the 5 Florida region centers. It also falls back to South Florida, opens the map on Tampa, and uses Eastern time. | TM-815 |
| DirtyStack app | The region picker on Rooms and Events (one flat list, a limit of 6 picks), the home region and home room pickers, and a fallback to the first region in order, Tampa Bay & Gulf Coast, for a new player with no location. The map opens on Tampa. | TM-816 |
| Tournament data | The national room list and the nightly job that publishes tournaments. | TM-817, TM-818 |
| No region use | RoomDirector, the dealer tablets, the tournament display, the kiosk, Live Cards, sign-in, dsptour.com and mangrovepoker.com. | None |
| State | Rooms | Regions |
|---|---|---|
| Texas | 86 | Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio |
| California | 61 | Bay Area, Central Coast, Los Angeles, Palm Springs & Inland Empire, Sacramento & Central Valley, San Diego |
| Washington | 38 | Seattle & Puget Sound, Spokane, Tri-Cities & Yakima |
| Nevada | 33 | Las Vegas, Reno & Lake Tahoe |
| Michigan | 25 | Detroit, Grand Rapids & West Michigan, Northern Michigan |
| Oregon | 21 | Portland, Willamette Valley & Coast, Southern Oregon |
| Pennsylvania | 11 | Philadelphia & Eastern Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh & Western Pennsylvania |
Room counts are confirmed rooms on the national list. Montana stays one region because its rooms are spread over small cities. Illinois stays one region because a Quad Cities region would hold one casino.

From the admin app, which uses Google Places, or from the import.
With no map location, the state's default region. Marked "automatic".
A new region somewhere else moves nobody.
A new address re-places an automatic room. A hand pick is marked "manual" and the database never changes it.

DirtyStack app (TM-816), next release
The region list was approved on 17 September.
Live on 21 October. The new regions are hidden.
Both read the new region list.
Rooms added hidden and checked, then shown with their tournaments.
Built together with other app work, in 1.30.0.
One state or one group at a time.
Cleaning the national list, the first step of TM-817, changes no live data and can start beside step 1. Nevada does not wait for the app release: the released app lists the shown regions in one list, and 7 regions read fine there.
A change that the app can read is checked first against the versions on players' phones. Version 1.29.0 has been on the App Store since 20 October.
"Today" panels are screenshots taken on 16 September: the website from dirtystackpoker.com and the app running that day's code in the iPhone simulator. The admin panels are drawn from its code. Two things have changed since. The "Florida-only" line in W4 was replaced on 1 October. The admin room form in D1 became a full room page on 25 September, and the region field now sits in its Address section.
A flat list of every region becomes a search box, "Use current location" and the 3 nearest regions. Everything else is one click away.

The visitor's state comes first, with live counts. All states follow, A to Z, with their regions. Search and jump letters keep a long list usable.

The small heading shows the full state name and links to it. "Try another region" shows only regions in the same state.

The dropdown becomes a search grouped by state. The line "Outside Florida? We're Florida-only for now." was replaced on 1 October.

Search, then the player's picks, then the nearest regions, then states that open to show their regions. The limit stays at 6 regions.

Nearest regions first, then sections by state. Typing a state name finds its regions.

Rooms in the player's regions come first. Search covers every room, so the app no longer loads the whole country at once.

With regions in two states, each room's tag shows the state. A new player with no region sees "Choose a region" instead of Tampa Bay.

"No region assigned" goes away. "Automatic" is the default, and only the room's own state is listed.

Each row shows its region, and a region filter sits next to the state filter.

Regions grouped by state, with room counts for the website and the app. Florida's numbers are today's. New regions stay hidden until their rooms are shown.

Each step is a Linear issue under TM-812. States are as of 21 October 2026.
D-2. Decide how often rooms that are still hidden refresh their Google details, before Nevada's rooms are added. A daily job that refreshes every room's Google details is planned and not built, and its Google cost grows with the number of rooms.
| Step | Who decides | Who does it |
|---|---|---|
| The region list | Matt | Approved on 17 September, with one rename: Willamette Valley & Coast. |
| The database change | Matt | Applied and checked by the agent after Matt's yes. |
| Cleaning the list and adding rooms | Matt, step by step | Each step is shown first, then run by the agent. |
| Google address lookups | Matt | Uses the Google key that is already set up. The cost shows in the Google Cloud console. |
| Showing a state | Matt | One state at a time: its regions, its rooms and its tournaments, after each is checked. |
| The app release | Matt | The next build and store submission. |
From reading the code of every app on 17 September, the admin app and the DirtyStack app again on 2 October at the versions released to the stores, and the DirtyStack app again on 21 October.
Versions 1.26.0 to 1.29.0 show every region that is marked as shown in one list and let a player pick up to 6. It places a new player in the nearest region within 150 miles, and otherwise in the first region in order.
| Finding | What it means |
|---|---|
| No city on any confirmed row | A live room must have a city, so the Google lookup has to fill it in. Room names become unique per city and state only once the city is there. |
| Two rooms share one name in one state | "Seat Open" is two PokerAtlas rooms in Montana, one in Helena and one in Bozeman. Today's rule, one name in the whole country, would refuse the second. |
| Parx Casino is split across two rows | The PokerAtlas row has an address in Shippensburg. The Google row has the right one, in Bensalem. The merge keeps Bensalem. |
| A wrong business name | "San Antonio Casino & Poker Rentals, Parties and Planning" carries the PokerAtlas page of Alamo Card House 2. It is a real room that needs its name fixed. |
| 210 rows with no map location | They cannot be placed by distance, so they start in their state's default region and move when the lookup fills them in. In Texas that is 62 of 86 rooms. |
Each room below went to the nearest region of its state. The question is whether the region's name still fits. They are marked on the map in 3.1.
| Room | Region | Miles from its center | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kickapoo Lucky Eagle | San Antonio | 108 | Eagle Pass, on the border. |
| Bend Poker Room | Willamette Valley & Coast | 92 | Bend is in Central Oregon, across the Cascades. |
| Clearwater Saloon & Casino | Tri-Cities & Yakima | 60 | Wenatchee, in north-central Washington. |
| Island Resort & Casino | Northern Michigan | 58 | The Upper Peninsula. |
| The Saginaw Poker Room | Grand Rapids & West Michigan | 42 | Saginaw is in neither. |
| Parx Casino | Philadelphia & Eastern Pennsylvania | 25 | Placed from the Shippensburg address. Bensalem is near Philadelphia. |
Compiled on 21 October 2026 from the live TableMaster database, the national room list (market_intel.rooms), the Linear tracker, the code of every app, and the public App Store and Google Play listings. First published on 16 September 2026. Room counts on the national list are PokerAtlas-confirmed rows before cleanup.
